Biological Activity for IPG-4 AM

IPG-4 AM is a membrane-permeable fluorescent potassium ion (K+) indicator. It binds to potassium (Kd = 7 mM). Excitation and emission maxima (λ) are 525 and 545 nm, respectively. It has 100:1 selectivity for K+ over Na+ ions. It can be used to detect in real time changes in intracellular K+. Also used to monitor extracellular K+ changes in vivo.

It is recommended to prepare stock solutions in DMSO.
