Submit ReviewTranilast is an antiallergic via inhibition of chemical mediator release from mast cells. Shown to be an effective inhibitor of angiogenesis. Demonstrated to antagonize the effects of angiotensin II on human arteries, possibly by an interaction at the level of the AT1 receptor. Inhibits TRPV2-mediated responses; binds to Aβ40 monomers and increases Aβ40 fibrillation.
Tranilast is also offered as part of the Tocriscreen 2.0 Max. Find out more about compound libraries available from Tocris.
