Submit ReviewSRT 1720 is selective SIRT 1 activator (EC50 = 0.16 μM). SRT 1720 inhibits growth of bladder cancer organoids and xenografts (IC50 = 0.35 μM) and induces autophagy. In vitro, SRT 1720 increases mitochondrial biogenesis and recovery after oxidation injury and reduces palmitate-induced insulin resistance. Also improves survival and healthspan of obese mice.

Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic destructive inflammatory autoimmune disease that results from a breakdown in immune tolerance, for reasons that are as yet unknown. This poster summarizes the pathology of RA and the inflammatory processes involved, as well as describing some of the epigenetic modifications associated with the disease and the potential for targeting these changes in the discovery of new treatments.
